The artist

Hubert Minnebo

Debuted as a painter but became widely known as a sculptor and designer of coveted gold jewelery. Minnebo soon developed his own, very recognizable style. The robustly constructed, figurative sculpture with smooth bronze skin almost always bears the same rudimentary, sober stylized face.
